An intent represents what a visitor’s intention might be in asking a question or making a statement. This part of conversation is processed through AI. Let's create a chatbot that will answer visitors' questions about your pricing.

1. Add a blank chatbot and create four scripts with the following names:

2. Open Ask A Question script, add Content step, invite the visitor to ask a question, receive their free-text response and check the Process Through AI checkbox.

3. Open Ask Again script, add Content step, receive visitor's free-text response and check the Process Through AI checkbox.

4. Open Quit Chat script, and add Terminate Chat step.

5. Open Ask Again Or Quit Chat script, and add Content step.

6. Add Go To Script step and select Ask Again script in Select Script To Go dropdown list.

7. Add another Go To Script step and select Quit Chat script in Select Script To Go dropdown list.

8. Open the Content step created in step 5, add User Input element, select Quick Replies Only as user input type, and click + Quick Reply button.

9. Enter Ask Again in the name field and select Go To "Ask Again" in the Go To / Action dropdown list.

10. Add another Quick Reply button, enter Quit Chat as its name and select Go To "Quit Chat" in the Go To / Action dropdown list.

11. Our script is ready, let's now create an intent to predict what questions a visitor might ask. Go to Intents tab.

12. Click Add Intent button.

13. Come up with a short and descriptive name for the intent.

14. Enter not less than five utterances. Utterances are your predictions on what variations of the same question the visitor can enter in the input field.

15. Enter the answer that your chatbot will give to a visitor once the AI engine matches their input of free text to this particular intent.

16. Select the script that will run after the intent mechanism works out.

17. Click Save.

18. Your intent appeared in the list.

19. Now let's create a response your chatbot will give in case it cannot determine the intent from the visitor’s utterance. Click Default Intent.

24. The more intents and utterances you add, the better the system will understand the difference between them. Click Help in the upper toolbar to test your intent

25. Now all's ready to preview our chatbot. Click Preview in the upper toolbar.

That's it! Your chatbot got smarter and now it can answer questions about your pricing. Train it further, and it will be able to replace a human agent one day!
