Fields can be simply defined as characteristics for the contacts. There are system fields (such as name, email or phone number), which are already there in the system, and custom fields, which are added by the administrator in accordance with their business needs. This is how you can create your custom fields on the TruMESSAGING platform.

1. Go to the Fields section and click Add Field.

2. Enter the field name, type, and description.

3. Check Active if you want this field to be available for segmentation. Click Save.

4. Your field appeared in the Fields list.

Simple as that! Use this new field to sort your contacts and organize them in a nice and convenient way.
